OVFC Squad 23, Engine 23 and Captain 23 responded to the area of the 9000 block of Zachary Taylor Highway for a 2 car accident with reported entrapment yesterday evening.

First arriving was Medic 21 followed by Engine 21 (of Mine Run VFC) who found a 2 vehicle head on with three injured patients and one fatality. Crews from both departments assisted on the scene with patient care and scene stabilization. Additional units on the call included: Support 23, Support 21, Medic 29, Medic 23, Chief 10.

Captain 23 initiated on scene command and later transferred IC to Chief 21 who remained on scene with Engine 21 to assist Virginia State Police complete their investigation.
