Fatal Accident on Zachary Taylor Hwy

August 03

OVFC Squad 23, Engine 23 and Captain 23 responded to the area of the 9000 block of Zachary Taylor Highway for a 2 car accident with reported entrapment yesterday evening.

First arriving was Medic 21 followed by Engine 21 (of Mine Run VFC) who found a 2 vehicle head on with three injured patients and one fatality. Crews from both departments assisted on the scene with patient care and scene stabilization. ... (Full Story & Photos)

No Caption Fatal Accident on Lahore Road

2nd Assistant Chief Jason Morris, July 14

OVFC firefighters answered a single vehicle accident just after midnight near the intersection of Lahore Road and Lake Orange Road. First arriving, Medic 23 and Chief 23-1 found a single vehicle with one occupant thrown from the vehicle and a second occupant trapped still inside. No Caption OVFC responds to skydive accident

Earlier Saturday evening, OVFC responded to a skydive accident near the Orange County Airport on Route 20. Initial reports were skydiver was stuck in a tree and first arriving units found one skydiver in a tree about 50 feet in the air. Access was limited, but Truck 23 was able to gain access to the skydiver. Crews safely removed the skydiver from the tree and no injuries were reported. ... (Full Story & Photos)

Our Fireman's Fair ride company, Coles Shows, will be down at the Orange Volunteer Fire Company fairgrounds beginning today at 11:00 a.m to serve good old fashioned carnival style takeout food.
