Craig became a member of the Orange Volunteer Fire Company in 1966. He is currently a Firefighter, and has held the positions of Lieutenant, Captain, and 1^st Assistant Chief previously in the company. Craig is certified as: Fire Officer II, Hazardous Materials-Operations, NFA ICS, EVOC, Basic Pump & Aerial Operations, and Confined Space.

Craig is currently employed by Orange County as a part-time building inspector, and is also Orange County’s Hazardous Materials Coordinator. Craig resides with his wife Lucy, and has three children from a previous marriage: Tim, Brad, and Melissa, as well as three step-children: Lucy-Anne, William, and Melanie. Craig served in the United States Air Force from 1969 to 1973. He was a career Firefighter in Henrico County in the early 1980’s and later worked for ENSAT in Culpeper. Craig’s hobbies include rooting for the Washington Redskins and Dale Earnhardt Jr.
