EMS - Our department is automatically dispatched on all ALS
calls in our first due when there is no ambulance available in
quarters. We primarily use Support 23 as a response vehicle
because of its size and it doesn't require response of our first run pumpers. The
Support is a Class A BLS non-transport licensed vehicle through the
VA Department of EMS. Our department currently has 12 members certified to the EMT-B
level and one at the EMT-I level. EMT-B: Steve Boyer,
Jamie Colvin, Mark Eskridge, Larry Heiston, Whitney Jacobs, Tim Melson, Stewart Morris, Jeff Moubray,

Target Hazards - Several industrial and manufacturing
facilities in town, the T.E. Lee Industrial Park on US 15,
moderately sized water and wastewater treatment facilities, railroad
tracks from the north, south, and west, and Routes 15, 20, and 522
which carry thousands of vehicles per day. |
