Lynn has been a member of the Orange Volunteer Fire Company since 1972. He has held a number of positions since joining the company, including: Lieutenant, Business Manager, Assistant Business Manager, and Treasurer. Lynn is currently the Captain and Training Officer, positions that he has held almost exclusively since 1995. Lynn has been certified in the following: Firefighter III (old), Hazardous Materials-Operations, HTR Vehicle Rescue, EVOC, and Basic Pump and Aerial Operations.

Lynn and his wife Lynne have three girls. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia. Lynn is employed by Rapidan Service Authority. Lynn enjoys watching UVA football and basketball games.
