Larry has been a member of the Orange Volunteer Fire Company since 1987. Larry is also known as "Flip" around the station. He is currently a Lieutenant with the department, holding the position off-and-on for several years. Larry is a member of the company’s State Competition Team, and was part of the State Record run in the Six-Man Ladder in 1997. He has taken the following training: Fire Instructor I, HTR Vehicle Rescue, EVOC, Basic Pump Operations, and LZ Coordinator.

Larry and his wife Catherine reside in Radiant. He has been employed by the American Woodmark Corp. since 1988. Larry likes to play softball, watch football, and root for the University of Virginia athletics, Dallas Cowboys, and Baltimore Orioles.
