Franklin "Bud" Kidwell has been a member of the Orange Volunteer Fire Company since 1964. He has been a member of the company’s Board of Directors since 2003, and has previously served the department 2^nd Assistant Chief, and Lieutenant. Bud has taken the following courses: Fire Officer III, EVOC, Basic Pump Operations, and Hazardous Materials-Awareness.

Bud served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1945 to 1948. He worked for the VA Department of Forestry for nearly forty years and is currently retired. Bud is a certified Tree Farm Inspector, and enjoys the outdoors.
