South Constitution MVC

December 27 -  Local units responded to this Sunday morning single vehicle accident on Rt. 20 just South of Town.  First arriving units found a SUV on its side in the ditch with the driver inside.  The uninjured person was assisted from the vehicle once it was stabilized.  More Pictures

Snow Causes Roof Collapse

December 19 -  Orange Volunteer Firefighters were dispatched to Pro Auto Body in the 2300 Box for a building collapse in the snow on Saturday.  Utility and Support 23 arrived to find a large metal building with a partial roof collapse, Lt. Boyer assumed the James Madison Hwy. Command.  After assessing the scene command noticed a strong odor of propane coming from the structure so he requested Engine 23 added to the assignment and Engine Company 24 placed on standby.  All utilities were secured and the propane was shut off to the building by the crews on scene.  Engine Company 24 was put in service along with Engine 23, Support 23 remained on scene awaiting Dominion Power and the owners arrival.  No injuries were reported in the collapse.  Pictures

Route 15 MVC

October 3 -  Orange Volunteers responded to assist Gordonsville Firefighters with a two-vehicle accident on James Madison Hwy. just prior to the Gordonsville Airport.  Crews arrived with an SUV on its side with one occupant still inside.  Personnel worked to extricate the patient while Squad 23 setup a landing zone for Pegasus at the airport.  Pictures

Boo Hoo - We're Winners AGAIN

August 15 -  The Orange Volunteer Fire Company competition team was awarded the William Packet Total Points Award for the 6th year in a row, and 13th time in history on Saturday night.  Photos will be posted soon.


2009 Parade Winners

Trailer Off in Town

February 13 -  Area units responded on Box 23-00 for a reported house fire.  First arriving Engine 23 found a working fire in a house trailer at the end of Brooking Street.  Firefighters from Orange, Gordonsville, and Barboursville worked for several hours on extinguishment and mop-up before clearing the scene.  Pictures

Gordonsville House Off

January 28 -  Engine & Truck 23 assisted Gordonsville VFC at an early morning house fire on Stonewall Ave on Wednesday.  First arriving units found fire in the house with overhead extension.  All crews worked on extinguishment and overhaul for several hours.  Pictures

Tibbstown Area House Fire

January 25 -  For the second Sunday in a row, an afternoon house fire kept personnel busy.  Tanker, Truck, and Engine 23 with a total of 15 men assisted crews from Barboursville and Gordonsville with handling a fire in a single family dwelling in the Tibbstown area of the County.  Pics

House Fire

January 19 -  Orange Volunteers sent 16 men to Old Montebello Farm off of Spotswood Trail for a Sunday afternoon house fire.  First arriving units found fire conditions on the first and second floor.  Tanker 23's crew stretched an attack line to the 2nd Floor and the Truck's crew worked on the 1st Floor and on the exterior.  Units were on the scene for nearly four hours.  Pics

Hopewell Finale

January 4 -  For the second time in less than two weeks, Orange Volunteers were sent to 9280 Hopewell Road for a house fire.  First arriving units found fire showing on the D side of the structure.  Crews from Orange, Rapidan, Mine Run, and Gordonsville were on the scene for several hours.  Pictures
