And the Lightning Strikes!

June 18 - A severe storm that rocked Eastern Orange County sparked two house fires as a result of lightning strikes.  Truck 23 and Engine 23, initially sent inside LOW to assist with a house fire, were sent to another house fire on Somerset Ridge Rd. just after arriving on scene.  Orange Volunteers, along with several other fire companies in the area, found a two-story SFD with smoke showing from the attic.  The fire was quickly knocked down and firefighters conducted overhaul in the attic and second floor.  Pics

Long Time Supporter Laid to Rest

April 1 - Sunday marked a sad day for not only the OVFC family, but the entire community, as long time "member and neighbor" Susie Miller was laid to rest.  Susie supported the Company for many years in a variety of ways, really too many to list.  She'll be missed by everyone.
