This past Saturday, Orange Volunteers, County Fire & EMS staff and Mine Run volunteers answered a call for a motor vehicle accident near the intersection of Lahore road and Baltimore Drive. As the incident unfolded, a total of 7 patients were treated and of that total, 5 patients were transported. Three of those patients were air lifted by UVA Pegasus, Air Care I and Air Care II with life threatening injuries. A total of 6 medic units were on the call with mutual aid assistance provided by Louisa County Fire & EMS. This accident continues to be under investigation by the Virginia State Police and the patients are continuing to receive advanced medical care.
